Flipsyde

Katie and I saw and first heard of Flipsyde in Prague this past summer. I usually don't endorse a band but I was impressed in how they blend differing ethnic styles of music with fairly critical yet accurate social commentaries both internal and external to the US. Their song "US History" gives an interesting twist to the American background and helps explain how and why other countries perceive the US negatively. Here is a better review from AMG. I tried to find their album when we got back to the States and couldn't find it anywhere. Well, they got picked up by NBC to play the Winter Olympics and will probably get super popular. Good for them.
